I am totally at peace with my wardrobe. This is new territory for me – I’ve always been a shopper; it’s been a social activity, a pastime, a stress release and, at worst, a coping mechanism for me. I love having a special outfit for a special occasion, and when I need a quick pick-me-up, there’s nothing like a new pair of earrings. But, apart from my order from Sezane and a few bottles of spring nailpolish, I haven’t bought anything in over a month. And what’s even more unusual is that there is nothing I feel like I need. My wishlist, is, as always, a mile long – if I ever tell you there’s nothing I want, you’ll know I need medical attention – but I’m in no hurry to acquire any of the items on it. Case in point; I had an outfit planned for our afternoon tea at the Hotel de Crillon, but it was far too cold for bare legs that day. The impulse shopper in me should have panicked and rushed out to find a new outfit. Instead, I went to my closet and put this look together in less than five minutes. If that’s not personal growth, I don’t know what is…!
