Sometimes, you have events or occasions where formal or simple just does not cut it, you have to do something over the edge. well, here’s how i would approach those events:
I am rocking an amazing velvet rose print vest, with a plaid green blazer and a velvet and dark green print silk tie.
My outfit says a lot, it says, i can branch out and play with my colours but i still know what i am doing. I understand the colour mixing technique and am not trying too little or too hard.
I chose a plaid blazer because of its laid back look, for years in the early fashion and modern fashion, when combining different colours, note that using a plaid blazer, i have realized, gives better results that a plain one. go ahead and try it for yourself. works for me.
Black velvet: sharp plain colour, easily noticeable, and grouped together with the print tie, draws attention away from individual pieces and unites the entire upper part of the fit.
Plain brown Trousers, cannot go wrong with brown. nullifying colour that helps boost the appearance of other colours. that was a move to make the slippers more noticeable and also, the slippers was my way of adding a formal touch to the entire outfit.
So when next you have to go to the edge and play with your style
Take some tips:
- Play with colours
- Practice mixing colours well
- Always leave a formal touch in there
- Do something out of the ordinary, not plain. (i used the print velvet vest)
