This look was much more trendy than I intended—I wanted to wear my mom’s vintagey boots, but it turns out that she had beat me to them that day haha! It was for the best though, because I got to show off my bargain riding boots—I scored them for only $10 at Old Navy!
I felt guilty for spending around $40 there that day (I am wayyy too cheap haha), but it was just as well because it was the last time I seriously went shopping before Lent.
Though I am a non-denominational Christian and my church does not promote Lent, I choose to give up shopping every year. It’s a great way to get creative, save money, and grow closer to God! I started this tradition two years ago and though I didn’t last my freshman year, I am glad to say that I made it last year. Fingers crossed that I can do it again!
