Puffed Out

I grew up in a household where “church” clothes and everyday clothes were not allowed to mix; I could only wear my nicer things on the weekend as to not ruin them. I’ve always rebelled against this rule because what’s wrong with mixing and matching unexpected things. Puffy vests have in the past been strictly reserved for college game days and fall picnics, so by wearing a puffy vest with a pencil skirt and sweater did I create a faux pas? I’ve been tired of wearing a bulky coat so I took my 10-year-old puffy vest out of my closet and out I went.
