I find that most of my dress+cardigan outfits tend to be all Forever 21, but ah well. My mom insisted that I try this dress on because as I’ve mentioned maybe once before, my brother is an entomologist. I tried it on, and I actually really liked it! I think the beetle—ahem, Coleoptera—print is very different and I really like the blue color. I made this outfit a bit classic meets quirky by adding a cropped cardigan and opting for brogues and a spiked necklace instead of ballet flats and pearls.

I’m way late on the topknot train but I’m finding myself wearing my hair up so often lately. I think once you get the technique done, it’s so much easier and fun to do. Once my hair gets a bit longer I don’t think I’m going to cut it short again so I can do more updos!
