I’m convinced that pretty soon I will have photographed every random turnout in the mountains above Pasadena, uncomfortable stares from my fellow hill-traversers notwithstanding. This dress is an awkward, just-above-the-ankle length, but I got it on the cheap at a vintage store…and I like that it’s a bit dowdy by modern dressing standards…makes it slightly less questionable when conversing with people who live primarily during daylight hours. Not that occasion appropriateness has ever been a major priority of mine, but I like to be aware of potentially dangerous situations at least. I’m also a fan of the elongated button-down front and the fact that from the waist up it seems like something a curmudgeon-y lunch lady would wear while slopping mac and cheese.
Trying to squeeze every last bit of exploration out of this sunny weather before the next rainy spell-weather reports for the foreseeable future look bengin, but I’m not sure how much faith can be put in a 10-day prior prediction. Small goals: make it to Django while it’s still in theaters, do my Art History reading outside for some extra Vitamin D, make legitimate use of my stove sometime within the next week, hike up one of the infinite tails in Griffith Park to catch a cloud-resistent sunset, and travel on foot as much as possible.
