Istanbul. Day two. Unlike other European capitals, New Year’s atmosphere in Istanbul is reduced to few sparkle windows and spray-painted inscription ‘’Happy New Year’‘. On the other hand, the pulse of the city makes you the impression that Istanbul is chronically affected by festive fever. At least when we are talking about the crowd and the number of people on the streets. Contrast. In this case, too. As in many other when it comes to Istanbul. While I’m immensely sympathetic to the lack of holiday euphoria, I am reliving one of the most untypical transitioning from the old to the new year. And, I enjoy in it, while Istanbul slowly but surely seduces me. And it seemed so harsh. Oh, what misconceptions …
Until next post. Yours B.
