hmmm that article is interesting. In the end though, I don't think blogging is a reliable source for information. Journalists have a professional code whereas bloggers have... a community code? But a community formed online is not the most stringent in terms of qualifications or truthfulness (chictopia excluded of course). I trust in journalistic truth. also I love your necklace. hehe.

A friend of mine just sent me this article yesterday asking for my opinion. A public fight between the Observer, an established publication, and Fashion Indie, an independent fashion blog. Both based in NY.
It’s interesting to see that with the rise to fame of independent bloggers, more and more information becomes available to us. We used to rely on publications such as NYTimes, Vogue, or WWD to provide us accurate and update to date information. These days, it seems like there is always a twist behind these stories that are uncovered by fashion blogs. Beyond that, the “truth” in content behind these fashion blogs can even be influenced and loaded. So my question becomes, in our quest for the new, the interesting, and the original, what becomes the most reliable source?
