I strongly desired to wear light colors yesterday. I think an outfit that consists of these shades looks really enchanting when there’s snow outside. It’s almost if you’re an ice queen (or Russian princess) or something like that. However, the most warm clothes I own are black, grey or navy instead of white, and obviously I didn’t want to freeze so I had to think carefully about what light-shaded clothes to select for my outfit of the day. Luckily for me, I rediscovered this taupe oversized cardigan that makes it able to wear a layer of three or four without seeing it from the outside, so my ‘what to wear problem’ was partly solved. But I still pondered what I would wear underneath it. Then, I remembered this outfit , that I wore in Greece last summer. I thought it would be really cool to create the winter version of this look, and so I decided to pair the shorts and the top with a faux fur hat, knitted tights and tough boots. I think it’s a really good idea to wear some of your summer clothes in winter too, because styling them in a totally different outfit makes them look very different. That’s what is called ‘reuse to the maximum’, if you ask me! (And it’s also a good idea if the financial crisis did hurt you so that you’re forced to cut back on purchasing clothes)
