Anyways, today’s look is my answer to the standard “workin’ 9-5” get-up! I love to take something a bit classic and add some cheeky surprises to it. In this case, we have the classic white button up with a blazer and tie….except I’ve made sure the tie was a skinny (I really only like skinny ties, on both men and women). And instead of pants or a skirt, I’m wearing forest green leather shorts, because that’s just the kind of girl I am!
I’m loving the faux leather shorts I’ve been finding at Forever 21. They can be matched with SO many different outfits and occasions! I have them in the green color I’m wearing here as well as in black. They’re thin, light, comfortable and fit like a glove. Trust me when I say that you will turn heads in these! And I mean that in a good way ;)
I feel like a few cheeky changes add just the right amount of surprise to the humdrum normalcy of work attire. But it doesn’t need to be flashy either, which is why I stuck to earthy and neutral tones. And tights/hosiery are also always great ways to balance out short hemlines, risky/bold choices, etc.
