sockdreams 's Thoughts:

Our Tumblr fairy, Zaf, finds fashion inspiration in the pages of Jane Austin. After the French revolution, the constrictive corsetry and over-the-top embellishments of the Rococo era were abandoned in favor of a more natural, classical silhouette. Regency fashion is all about the empire waist, which is a very flattering look for most body types! This era was also a time when people took interest in clothing which was more practical and representative of the individual, rather than representing wealth and social status.

Practical, flattering and unique: Zaf’s outfit really embodies the spirit of regency!
