I don’t care what anyone says, floral print has its place all year round! I love the idea of patterns in fall, and I’ve taken to mixing graphic tops with bright prints. A tip for first-time mixers: Try to find a color scheme and stick with it. I decided to pull the neutral tones of black and cream from the pants and pair with more simple accents like the beige scarf and whitewashed denim jacket. This adorable, over sized bunny sweater from Forever 21 provides the perfect neutral yet interesting partner to the loud bottoms without overpowering the outfit.
When we were shooting these photos, I was so excited to FINALLY hear the crunch of leaves beneath my boots. Fall is generally mild here in South Carolina, so I can get away with wearing a light jacket, but I generally miss out on a true season change. (Did I mention it was 75 degrees here today? Charleston weather is a fickle mistress.) In a weird way, I’m looking forward to the colder weather if only to pull out more knits and knee-socks.
