Oh denim jackets…simple but just so versatile. And absolutely perfect for making an outfit seem well-thought out even when it’s been raining for three days and you’ve spent so long inside hiding from the dampness that you’re starting to feel solidarity with prison inmates. I love that it can make even the most studded out, body-con of dresses seem dressed down, and when styled with a careful hand it can actually look pretty rad with my fashion fallback, denim shorts. This outfit is definitely nondescript enough to transition to most life situations without looking awkwardly out of place-overly late brunches, slightly casual business days, and perching on dangerously rusty pipes, obviously.
I’d be lying if I said that this shoot wasn’t award to an extreme level. The above mentioned pipe just so happened to be located directly across the street from a major semi-truck departure sight. And the truckers might have been on lunch. And they might have noticed me setting up a tripod and taking pictures of myself. And there’s a slight chance that they congregated around the chain-link fence separating their attachment free lifestyle from the rest of the world and stared until I retreated back into my car and drove away as fast as legally possible. Definitely one of the highlights of my blogging career. Not exactly sure I can call this a career, but at the moment I can’t really think of a more apropos word. So, anyways…hope everyone has a good week.
