Over the Thanksgiving Holidays, I flew home to New Orleans. Though it was heartwarming to see family and the puppy again, the one thing I so looked forward to was the food. And I don’t mean the crawfish jambalaya stuffed turkey, but the charbroiled oysters from Drago’s and beignets at Cafe du Monde in the heart of the French Quarter!
It’s tricky slurping buttery oysters and munching on powder sugared dough squares, but thank goodness for a boyfriend who keeps my black lips in check! And for helping me balance my way through the potholes of the city. (:
