Soaking in 2012

First of all, I hope you all had a marvelous Thanksgiving! I spent the weekend with family traveling to Wisconsin and then retuned back to Chicago for our annual family tradition of cutting down a Christmas tree (here). The temp just happened to drop (literally to freezing) on the day we spent outside searching for a tree. However, the cold weather, while pesky and frigid, reminds me of this happy time of the year and how grateful I am to have such wonderful family and friends. The weeks to come will likely be filled with holiday parties, family obligations, and last minute shopping. Plus, I also have a trip to California coming up, so I know it will be 2013 before I know it. Soaking up 2012 is now in full effect.
