It’s been such a long weekend for me. With days leading up to The Brown Sparrow’s photo shoot on our shirt line that Sim, Jeric and I have been working on, -it’s seemed like endless days of stitching and measuring. Sewing and checking on all the faults and errors I’ve created to make sure things were at least somewhat reasonably perfect for Saturday. Amongst the madness, there was also a rushed effort to finish off some costumes needed for my church’s Kidmania christmas production. It’s not so easy to work on two things at once, let me tell you. As a result, a sore neck was endured followed by days of missed meals with one day of pure excitement in the scolding heat of the sun.
Besides that, Sunday was cooler day, still warm but brought relief with the early cool change. It’s so much nicer to walk about in the breeze of a late afternoon. I like doing this often with Marley and it has been brought to my attention that I may have built a small reputation with the fury creature. Still, there are people who stop and stare, children who ask to pat and cars that continue to slow down to catch a glimpse of his slinky body, making sure that he’s not a dog as they first assumed he’d be. It was a fairly relaxing day. As a contribution to the calmer day I had, an exchange of texting and phone calls made it just that tad more awesome-er.
