There’s something about the Lower East Side that I love so much. Every time I explore these areas of Manhattan I discover new and interesting restaurants, boutiques, galleries, street art, architecture, and New York history.
Last week, I passed by this piece of street art by Nick Walker on the corner of Delancey and Ludlow. Nick Walker is a dope street artist whose pieces you can find all around New York City. His aesthetic is so distinct that you’d be able to tell one of his paintings right when you see it.
Post Hurricane Sandy, the Lower East Side isn’t looking to great. I’m hoping things like architecture, restaurants, and art like this will start to draw people back.
If you’re in New York City, try eating at a small local restaurant downtown or buying something from a small boutique. These small businesses were affected hard by Hurricane Sandy, and we need to help them get back in business – literally!
