littlemissesme 's Thoughts:

Every Halloween, I make my own costume. I usually pair up with my boyfriend to a couples theme. After much deliberation, we decided to do a circus theme; him being a ring leader and I a trapeze artist. I wasted no time and searched around the house and local thrift shops for finds.
For my costume: I purchased a white dancer’s leotard and embellished it with white feathers on the sleeve, silver trim around the shoulders and neckline, and to make the tail, I took apart an old dress my sister had around and layered it with tulle to create a layered and effect. I used extra fabric as a headband and pined a crystal brooch to it for detail. For accessories, I wore a small diamond bracelet, a crystal adorned swan ring, and simple earrings. As for my makeup, I went for a blue and silver effect on my eyes and temples.
For my boyfriend: We had no luck finding a coat with a tail so we opted for a thrifted red blazer and reconstructed it to add a tail. I sewed on the gold and black trim and buttons to the coat. We had no luck on finding an affordable top hat, as well as finding one that fit his head! lol Even though we had no props, I think we did a good job, especially since I had a very bad cold the week I worked on the costumes!

Hope you enjoy our look and hope you had an amazing Halloween! :}
