My last 5 birthday parties have had a theme- I have to admit I love getting dressed and making my friends do it….since it’s my birthday, they can’t say no. This year’s inspiration was the TV show “The Walking Dead”- so my house was full of zombies and a couple of humans running away from us. So let me tell you a little about my makeup/wardrobe. When I think of zombies, I think of pale/green/dirty skin so I tried recreating that. Also, I feel like they always have blood around their mouth- so why not adding a crazy wound in the area that showed teeth and everything…for that I used liquid latex- for the teeth I used black and white eyeliner, and purple/red lipliner. For my arms and legs I used red/purple cream makeup; and finally I added fake blood for the last touches in the shirt and wounds. As far as the clothing, I used a simple white tee for two reasons: first I wanted the blood to show, and second it was very affordable enough to not feel bad for destroying it. As soon as I saw this bronze skirt I knew it was perfect for the costume, it has like a scratched texture. Gabo wanted to buy an apocalypse backdrop to take fun pictures, and that was exactly what we did every time someone arrived. I hope you enjoy the pics! XOXO
