Ahhhh New York Fashion Week madness!
I flew in on Thursday around 3 and after checking into my hotel and picking up press credentials at Bryant Park (SO crazy) I was off to my first show! Victor de Souza. Having never been to a fashion show in my life I had no idea of what to expect. It was a fairly small show but the energy was incredible. The excitement of a couple hundred people squished into a small room waiting to see beautiful clothes is contagious. Finally the lights dimmed and the show began.
The 16 piece collection was gorgeous. The structured, ladylike garments looked elegant without seeming old-lady like. The gloves were incredible too- I can not get over them. My personal favorites were the one shouldered grey ensemble with a train, the black feather dress and the pale green maxi dress with the sheer capelet.
If my inability to hold my camera still won’t make you nauseous, check out my video footage of the show.
Lily also took photos which you can check out here
Besides being floored by the beautiful gowns at the Victor de Souza show, the main thing I thought about was how little I actually knew about the designer himself. Luckily, we’ll get to learn a bit more about him- Chictopia will be interviewing him very soon.
I’ll keep you ladies and gents up to date on all the fashion week craziness!
