I had originally bought this beautiful floral dress in the beginning of summer and it fit me like a glove. Such is not the case anymore. You see, I have an ongoing love affair with potatoes. My attempts to resist potatoes have failed miserably, and night after night, the Potato and I find ourselves consummating our love for each other. And as they say, you are what you eat. Alas, the zipper of this dress will no longer cooperate with my eating habits, so I had to strategically wear this white vest on top of the dress in order to hide the half-opened zipper and the flesh of potato fat waiting to emerge out of the dress. Yes, the vest is there to cover my flaws. And here you thought I was playing with layers and such, ha! You must all bow down to my sheer brilliance.
This outfit makes me feel so feminine (which I clearly am not) and as the post title suggests—twiterpatted, that I just felt like running around the park. I decided to pair the dress with golden, shimmering flats to give the outfit an essence of cool casualness and playfulness. Now, if only I could choose between my desire to fit in to the dress or my love for potatoes. It’s a modern day Sophie’s Choice, but hell, if Meryl Streep could do it, so can I!
