My official birthday dinner with my family and I decided to channel Oscar dela Renta in a lace over satin full skirted dress concoction designed for Glitterati.
There’s something about decadently embroidered lace turned into a cocktail dress that is so elegant, timeless and classic so since I am officially 22 years old, might as well try to look the part right?
I wore my favorite pair of suede peeptoe Zara shoes in black and the Chanel bag I got from the parental units this year.
We produced this dress in different sizes and it retails for about P2550 or USD 51. Visit http://shopglitterati.multiply.com for details.
Anyway, I wore this to my birthday dinner at Old Manila at The Peninsula where we had a hearty serving of pan-seared foie gras, grilled rib eye and flourless Valhrona chocolate cake which was my birthday cake that I was not allowed to eat since I am allergic to chocolates and nuts. It was a simple and intimate dinner. I’m glad the celebrating is over. Haha. I got tired of celebrating my birthday for over a week now, I cannot wait to spiral back into the humdrum of daily life.
Until then. xx
PS: Valentine’s day is on steroids this year!!! The malls are filled with roses and chocolates to give to a special someone. Even the bread that comes as a side to my truffle oil pasta at my favorite Neo-Italian resto, CIBO is heart shaped. I never really celebrated Valentines Day ever… since my boyfriends are still recovering from my birthday, it would be unfair to demand extra attention and an added gift. So it was always just a 2in1 package deal with me. Hahaha. How lucky are they I was born a hop, skip and 4 days before Valentines?
