The ripped torn distressed denim trend iis one that I thought I would try out a wee DIY.
Two reasons.
I had a great pair of beloved Lee jeans bought Post Baby #1 (so 4 yrs ago) that don’t fit the way they used to – but kind of have a nice boyfriend fit. However after a wee mishap with unwashable paint & 2 kiddiwinks they were relegated to the gardening pile.
But with a bit of strategic razoring, sandpapering & ripping & a couple of washes later – Bingo…they are back in high rotation
Love sustainable style. And cyclical trends.
I do talk to clients about how they can rework, refashion and relove clothes in their wardrobe.
Then number 2 I had a great Vintage Levi’s denim jacket that I NEVER wear.
But after a bit of strategic DIY distressing I am loving and wearing heaps.
Love the peek-a-boo elbow – not an original idea I know but hey… I was inspired.
Anyway – as an afterthought the other day when we were trying to squeeze a few outfit shoots in between drop-offs, clients & pick-ups -
I ended up in double distressed denim added a bit of sparkle and decided to go with it.
Bit of a hoot.
