Last week was pretty crazy for me. I went out 3 times on a work night and my sleep deprivation was beginning to kick in. I woke up nice and early that Saturday because my girlfriends wanted to go to Arlington Racetrack for the Arlington Million. We went back in June for my birthday and had so much fun that we had decided we wanted to do it again. This was the big race for the season, so we knew we needed to go to this one. I decided to wear a classic white cotton sundress to this event. I’ve had this dress for years!!! I bought it at the Pink Frog which is located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. There’s a string of shops there and you can find all sorts of fun stuff. My friends also dressed up, but we skipped the heels and wedges for comfy flats again. I thought we were going to get there early but that was not the case. By the time our crew got together, we barely made the last 2 races. Oh well. We betted on our horses and sadly watched them lose. Hey at least we tried! The Arlington Million had parties going on as well, but we didn’t get a chance to go to any of them because of how late we were. We decided to go to dinner afterwards and make the most of it. Afterwards we headed back to our girlfriend’s place where we quickly changed and headed back out for some drinks. We ended the night by midnight, but it was fun altogether.
