It’s totally okay to wear themed outfits. I really wanted to play up the flapper vibe of this beautiful drop-waist dress. So I added gloves, a hat, red lips, pearls, and even my kind of t-bar heels. I don’t care at all if it looks like a costume. Oh, this dress! I positively melted when I saw it in a cute little boutique at Tempe Marketplace. I just had to purchase it, and I’m delighted that I did.
I wore this outfit (minus the beret) on a first date. What? That’s right, I went on a date. Me. Who knew that could ever happen again? Well, it happened. It happened with the extremely buff personal trainer that I was mad crushing on a few weeks ago when I started going to the gym. He’s dreamy. We went to Pizza Hut: I in this lavish ensemble and he in his work clothes. I’m sure we must have been quite a spectacle. Afterwards, we went to my house and played Call of Duty. Well, most of the time was spent bleeding out and waiting for him to revive me, because I’m embarrassingly terrible at that game. I always die. Perhaps next time we can play Guitar Hero so I can show him up for once.
