Hi everyone! This is what I usually throw on when I don’t want to fuss around with creating an outfit.
I’m usually wary about wearing plaid flannel shirts because, well, most of the time they look too trashy. The other day in a fashion-centric Livejournal community, a member posted an outfit featuring plaid shirts, ripped tights, and mom shorts but was subsequently ripped (whoops, pun!) a new one for looking too grungy. I can’t stay away from them, though; they’re too comfortable! I actually found this shirt at Thrift Town so I guess the only advice I can give about finding shirts like these is to be patient? Hilariously enough, the print on this one is actually remarkably similar to my old high school uniform skirt, ahahaha. Man, I’m so over that.
I’m sure a lot of you have been wondering if we ever just wear jeans and sneakers and like I said in the Q&A post, I wear outfits like these most of the week and “dress up” (or rather, put a substantial amount of effort into creating an outfit) on the remaining days. For some reason, my class schedule at Berkeley seems to really hate me ’cause my lecture halls always seem to be ten minutes apart on opposite ends of campus. I usually wear my white high top chucks when I know I have to walk the most.
To complete the outfit: vintage sunglasses and a colorful scarf from Target, yes! I usually opt for the loose high bun but I went with the ponytail instead. I’ll stop there because, to be honest, I’m spending more time writing this than I spent planning the outfit!
