Please take time to read, please.
Remember how my preceding posts mentioned gloomy weather? Well, our country has experienced harrowing calamities caused by a mesocyclone. If you’ve been watching the news, indeed, the nightmare brought about by recent strong typhoons seemed to be brought back to life. That is the reason why I have refrained from posting my looks (not that I even had enough time to prepare anything much, my heart was too broken from the news).
But today, the sun shone brightly for the first time in almost a week. I took for granted how pleasant the birds’ chirping is to my ears, or how the smell of the dewy smell of the morning is soothing. I felt hope, intense hope, that while we are all facing difficulties, we are ever resilient and we shall regain what has been lost, and gain even more for our perseverance and kind hearts.
I came up with this outfit because I was inspired by my realizations this morning, and I wanted to echo the brightness of the sun, of our future, through the skirt I transformed into a dress. And I added the white blouse I transformed into a cardigan as a symbol of hope, that no matter what happens, we will always make things work, if we do it together (resembling the sense of hope that flood victims held onto whilst they hung white blankets/rugs on their roofs to allow rescue teams to find them and bring them to safety).
Transformations: at times when we seem to be losing our way or going in the wrong direction, something will shake us and wake us up, and remind us that we need to change and forget greed, forget being self-centered and to transform into a person for others. <3 Let’s light up the world now, shall we?:)
