Mink Pink is having a RAD DIY Contest where they encourage everyone to design a pair of their own denim shorts. The prize? $1000 in Mink Pink Wardrobe! WHAT?! Crazytown. I got my own pair of slashers to rip apart and make my own. These shorts are absolutely perfect by themselves so I didn’t want to go too crazy because I plan on wearing them every day for the rest of the Summer. I decided to do a gold theme of studs and necklaces I had lying around my apartment. For a nice little touch I put some buttons on the sides and some safety pins. Yes I could have gone to town on these and put everything under the sun on them but I have to look presentable when I put them on right? I have to be able to put outfits together with them without them taking away from everything. They still need to be wearable everyday and simplicity is everything. Everyone did an awesome job so far, it’s going to be a tough competition! Here’s the rest of the details….
