With today’s elevated temperatures, I just couldn’t seem to navigate my way into a pair of shorts let alone thin, elongated legwarmers, or pants as they’re more commonly known. Decency isn’t normally a huge priority for me, but going sans clothing on my bottom half was clearly out of the picture (pun may or may not be intended), so a dress was the only logical choice. This dress, with its just-under-the-knee length, thick slightly unbreathable and monochromic fabric, and delightfully high neckline harkened back to the staunch uniforms that I were my daily confinement from kindergarten to 8th grade. I decided to amp up the schoolmarm-y vibe by layering it over a sleeveless denim button down, which was, of course, buttoned up to an uncomfortable degree. Hot weather appropraite-maybe. Children of the corn-esque-unquestionably.
