The easiest way to prepare an outfit for a night out? TAKE THINGS OFF!* Get rid of the cardigan + tights and you’re ready for a night out on the town. My favorite outfits tend to be ones which straddle the line between casual and dressy and can be tipped either way with the simple addition (or subtraction) of certain elements.
Speaking of versatility, when I put this skirt on this morning, my roommate/friend from high school said, “HOLY CRAP THAT’S OLD!” I don’t even remember how I ended up with this but it has somehow survived after all of these years. My friend also commented that I wore it differently back then since it would rest on my hips instead of the high-waisted look I prefer now.
Oh, how times have changed! My style in high school wasn’t so bad but coming to college was a huge change since my Catholic high school required uniforms and I’d only really have to plan outfits for weekends and free dress days. I was still voted most fashionable, though!
*not guaranteeing that I’ll actually go out like that in this weather, though…
On and, in case you haven’t seen it, my last entry in Coed Ugly. I’m still posting here though. I shall post more often for sure, I promise!
(I added the last picture for laughs. This is what happens when you miss the self-timer and rush to get in the picture! I wish I had someone to take my photos for me…)
