This is what I like to call my ‘big kid’ outfit (as you can see, I don’t like to take myself too seriously). I can envision myself wearing something like this at the age of three whilst in nursery, scribbling on the walls with glitter crayons and playing dress up (something which I still enjoy!) I particularly remember being best friends with a kid named Stevie, who would coerce everybody queueing for the slide to step aside whilst I skipped the line to take my turn. He treated my like the queen of Sheba! How I miss the days where I could take naps at 2pm and yet have no clue how to spell my own name (although, I must admit it comes in handy nowadays).
I purchased this vintage Madewell dungaree dress a few months ago for a mere £15, and I’ve since worn it to death! I checked online to see how much a pair of Madewell dungarees would cost nowadays, and I was informed that they would cost around the £400 mark- result! I’m a sucker for a good bargain! Plus, I am aware that a certain Miss Alexa Chung has been spotted sporting a dungaree dress on more than one occasion, which can’t be a negative thing!
Prior to today I spent four days straight lounging around the house watching DVDs and playing video games. I’m good at a few things, but I’m very good at doing nothing. Originally this plan sounded rather appealing; however by the third day it was beginning to become a little tiresome. Luckily, today I did something more productive and decided the venture beyond the four walls of my own house. My sister and I took a trip into my local town and visited the locally renowned Chocolate Cafe for lunch, before thrifting in the charity shops. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to spot any good finds, however I did manage to find a gorgeous bowl in which to store my vast collection of rings.
Hugs and kisses, Sarah xo
