I always enjoy outfit post from bloggers that don’t include any sponsored or gifted items, because nowadays, to actually find a blog post without any kind of link driving to a brand’s website is rare.
Without sponsors, we spend on what we want to wear. I’m sure you’ll not get any item you don’t really want if you have to pay for it using your own salary, right? Unless, you like to squander your father’s money? Also, you won’t worry how many followers you have just to gain that $30 budget a month of sponsorship. Many brands are popping lately offering $30, $50, $100 and $150 shopping budget per month depending on how many followers you’ve got. I think it’s not good for a newbie blogger to aim for lots of followers in order to gain sponsors. To go far in this business I suggest, you must love sharing your experiences, practice writing and perfect photography.
Though to be honest, I love getting sponsors that have the same style or visions parallel to mine! I would be thrilled if one day Miu Miu, Wildfox or Emoda contact me for a collaboration as I was when an agent of Uniqlo wanted to have me for a shoot which I can only do in Tokyo! We all started with zero sponsors but it doesn’t mean blogging is less fun before nor does blogs that have many sponsors are successful. It is not a measurement of your success. There are no small bloggers or “big” bloggers in my opinion. We are all bloggers and that makes the world of blogging different from other industries. Success is not your ticket to happiness but happiness is your ticket to success.
For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible,… everything got started in him and find its purpose in him.
