I remembered last year while I was studying in Sydney, the make up trend made me bought my first red lipstick, it was a matt one from M.A.C. I was thinking : since red lips is a hot hot hot trend that’s going on, I think I’ll look good as long as I have my red lips on.
But then, maybe (just maybe) I was wrong.
I’ve receive quite a few critiques from my friends and family (mostly family and relatives), saying …
“OMG! What happened to your lips?! It’s way TOO RED” ;
“What on earth are you doing, your bright red lips doesn’t even look good on you.” ;
“You over did it” … etc.
Well, since I am that kind of person who gets so easily affected by what people’s opinion, I didn’t put on my red lips ever since. However every time after I finish doing my make up, and opened that box where I kept all my “lips product”, I couldn’t control myself but to glance at the M.A.C red lipstick, thinking would there be a right chance, even a little one, for me to put it on again.
And here you are, a simple outfit post with red lips on.
Isn’t white and black symbolized “classic” in the old fashion world ?
Why don’t I modernized it by having a casual T-shirt and studded high waist skirt on,
with a small bit of red on my lips to bring out the femininity side of me ?
My red matt lipstick, you successfully seduce me again.
