Hi guys, it’s been a while! I’ve teamed up with Chictopia and Nordstrom to write a post on how to dress for the upcoming fall season using items from Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. I’m usually all about classic pieces that I can mix and match with the rest of my wardrobe but I thought I’d turn it up a notch for this post while still staying true to my style. What’s the best way to spice things up and still keep it simple? Vibrant color combinations!
This outfit actually came together because of my boyfriend who was awesome enough to brave the sale with me on a Sunday. Well, I picked the orange Acne pants and he helped by suggesting the cobalt blue Acne top, actually. Although most people usually associate fall with neutrals and darker tones that doesn’t mean you should only wear those colors! I was a little skeptical about these two colors together but my boyfriend convinced me to at least try the outfit on. To keep the outfit from looking too wild I kept my accessories simple with my trusty black boots, brown purse, oversized tortoiseshell watch, and black sunglasses. The best part about the two pieces that I picked up is that even on their own they still stand out and look great and I can already picture myself pairing them with various other items in my closet.
Unfortunately the Nordstrom website doesn’t carry Acne like the large store in downtown San Francisco that I went to but I was tempted to get these other items that are available in store and online! I almost went home with this Joie colorblock sweater which I would have paired with bright red Rag & Bone jeans, black Stuart Weitzman pumps, and this amazing Kate Spade necklace.
