…She’s seen her share of devils in this angel town…
Still not feeling well today. Actually, I feel worse. Health-wise, I almost had an anaphylactic reaction today. I got really bad allergies from eating polvoron which is a popular milk dessert back here. Ended up getting really bad rashes and I couldn’t even feel my tongue anymore since it was getting swollen already.
I look super sleepy in the photos since I’ve been on two 25mg Iterax tablets every four hours to prevent another reaction from starting up.
Funny thing is, things ended up getting worse (as if that was possible stil!!!) Yes, life always knows how to kick you and stab you in the back when you’re already all rundown, face flat on the floor… gasping for air. There were just some people who were downright mean and inappropriate with no provocation on my part whatsoever. It’s sad to have to deal with that kind of abuse and maltreatment when you’re already physically beaten up. I don’t think I had anymore strength to fight for myself. Sometimes, we have got to roll with the punches and smile even if that’s the hardest thing ever. Because when it comes to pain… Life always has more.
I dealt with the issue by remembering what Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one has the right to make you feel inferior without your consent.”
On the upside, I dressed up with a lot of color today. I needed a rainbow to make me smile after the catastrophic 24 hours. Sigh. I hope tomorrow becomes a better day.
