Insanity!

I want to thank all of you who have inspired me. At the ripe old age of 21 I am finally teaching myself to sew! I have been talking about it for years and this weekend my mom brought me a sewing machine, that apparently she forgot about since it hasn’t been used in 6 years. I am so excited! I am also proud to announce that I completed my first diy project this weekend, I bleached a pair of slouchy boyfriend jeans! Due to this new found hobby/experiment of mine I am putting myself on shopping restriction…I would like to make it from now until my bday in April (that is 2 1/2 months from now… am i insane?!). This will be a huge change from my usual 3x a week shopping adventures. I have rationalized that going cold turkey may send me into unbearable withdrawl symptoms, so I am allowing myself to buy supplies for the diy attempts and shoes (because I can’t make those). I figure this will present me with an opportunity to get to know my clothes, style and closet a bit better. Plus my boyfriend finds it ridiculous that in our 3 bedroom house my clothes have found their home in all 3 closets, that is not including the extra items that I store at my parents house for the off season! I am powerless over shopping! Wish me luck…
