It never ceases to amaze me how many lovely photo spots are just waiting to be discovered in plain sight. There is a wonderful bike trail close to my house – I must have been on it hundreds of times – and yet in all these years, I had never been to this particular spot. Maybe it’s because I was afraid of trespassing…but if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that if you want to get a good photo location, you’re probably going to have to trespass at some point. Anyway, there was no sign prohibiting entry here, so Chris and I stepped off the beaten path and found this lovely little place at sunset. The sun was beating down and I was developing blisters, but I hardly noticed. I’ve found a new favorite place. I can’t wait to return and see how tall the corn gets (much taller than me, no doubt – though that would be no great feat).
