Hello again, world! I’m back from a fantastic few days visiting with my mom and brother. We ate a TON of delicious food, took some polar bear shots (yes, my mom loved them), did a little shopping, and just had fun. Now, today’s Canada Day so I’m heading over to a friend’s place for drinks and some more food and to avoid the insanely busy downtown area. It seems most of the city’s permanent residents escape to their cottages and then thousands of tourists from all over the world come to celebrate the country’s birthday in the nation’s capital. End result = insanity.
This is a cropped tank I picked up during the massive Aritzia sale this weekend. Normally, I don’t go anywhere near the store because the majority of its clothing is vastly overpriced and I either end up paying way too much for something or leave cursing the universe and wondering why I wasn’t born a billionaire. This, however, was only $36 so I even grabbed a Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket look-a-like from Talula. It was on for $86, regular $150. Not too bad! I’m also wearing a new lip shade I grabbed at Sephora by NARS. It’s called Heat Wave and is a super coral red. It’s pretty bold against my complexion and I’m still deciding how I feel about it.
I also had a hair appointment yesterday and got my ombre turned back into an all-over darkish blonde. I had hoped for a slightly darker blonde than what it resulted in, but am overall quite pleased with it and am excited to be able to wear my hair straight without an awkward line where the brown turned into blonde. :)
