blackheartbunny 's Thoughts:

Updating high-waisted bondage zipper pencil skirt with an over sized, hot pink second hand silk top and crocodile embossed leather platform “shooties” from Cynthia Vincent. I believe they retail for around $400, so I got a great deal on them. They are very comfortable. Love them. The skirt is black denim and has exposed zippers ob the back and on the sides and has D rings on both hips. I used to be into punk music and the rest back in the day. I liked mixing “punk” pieces with pieces that were a bit more feminine. It so strange that it looks so much more mainstream now.

OH GAWD i know exactly what you mean! i used to be punkrock back in the day too! it used to take some guts to wear this type of stuff, and now it's everywhere. everyone is studding everything they own and i'm like...am i 14 again? haha i just can't get back into it. been there done that. and great shoes! xx

For me fashion will always be more of a "cultural" thing. I want to feel like I can "relate" to the piece in order for it to feel authentic to me. I feel like many people are just zeroxing looks without knowing the history behind it or meaning and something is lost you know?

Yeah I mean if you used to live it you can tell the difference for sure! I don't want to be hating on people for having fun with fashion but a part of me feels like if I got shit for it and lived it then wth?!!! You know? haha I used to buy EC Star wholesale and sell it my baby boutique back in the day! I loved it! I even went to a"secret" fashion show in a club in LA. So fun!

haha i'm glad you could see the authentic punk in me! i remember when i used to get made fun of for tapering my pants...now i look like i'm following the latest trend. it's frustrating. i don't know if my tastes have aligned more with mainstream fashion, or if mainstream fashion has aligned more with me...hard to tell, also slightly disturbing!
