When I saw this beautiful tree in full bloom just near my home, I knew I had to take photos beneath it. What I didn’t count on was the colony of bees merrily going about their business. Now to any rational person this is hardly worth noting, but with my ridiculous fear of bees, these photos proved a difficult task. You’ll note the comfortable distance I kept between myself and the tree! Every time I heard a buzz I flew out of frame, tripping in my heels and generally making a fool of myself.

With all the weather reports of heavy snow and -0 temperatures around the UK at the moment, I was at least expecting rain to come in and ruin my photos. But to my delight, it remained mostly dry, not too cold, and just a little murky.
