I have no idea what is happening to me. Maybe it’s my red hair that is making me dress all Elien all of a sudden (since floral legwear is pretty much her thing), maybe I’m subconsciously sick of sweet midi dresses with tights and flats, or maybe I’ve just realized I have a secret fixation on the Versace family, but this outfit felt SO right when I put it on last week. Sometimes you just want to spend your Sunday dressed as one of the more attention seeking LDN fashion week attendees, AMIRITE? I actually think the excessiveness of this outfit with my red hair gives it a bit of a grown up punk vol 2.0 vibe. Or maybe it just went past punk, back to glamrock.
I don’t think any outfit of mine has ever attracted quite as much WTF stares as this one, but I love it from start to finish in all of its leopard, floral, glitter boot glory. The boots and leggings are recent H&M buys that I love with all my heart. I stumbled upon the boots completely unexpectedly whereas I usually know what H&M is offering at a certain time. I mean, how have I not heard or read ANYTHING about these beauties yet? They were only 39,95€ and I have been looking for something Miu Miu slash Giuseppe Zanotti inspired within my price range for AGES! Only my size was left! I couldn’t believe my luck.
On top of that, I actually don’t own any neutral colored shoes like these, they’ll look just stellar with all of my pastels and colored tights when black looks way too harsh. If you’re wondering: they fit slightly on the small size and I think they are gorgeous and expensive looking. The higher shaft and pointy nose makes them a lot more elegant and “sharp” than most of the pistol boot dupes that are so popular right now, in my eyes at least. The leggings are H&M as well, 9,95 and also something I have been looking for since forever. Or no, actually since I saw Robyn’s Call Your Girlfriend vid. I want the entire look she’s sporting there: cropped, square fluffy knit, floral leggings and flatforms. I’ll get to a me-version of the silhouette one day!
