This past monday I celebrated my 24th birthday. Yes it’s true, I am getting old. I even found my first gray hair earlier on this year. Despite my desire to curl up and moop about another year slipping away from me, my wonderful husband made my day sensational! I woke with flowers and a handwritten poem.
After I got dressed, we went to a Cafe Republic for brunch where I had a vegetarian egg, spinach and mushroom croissant with coffee that was to die for. Then we went to see Salmon Fishing in The Yemen (fantastic movie on all accounts. Great acting, quirky and just a feel good film. Go see it!). The weather outside was glorious and I wanted to be in it, so we went to the park and laid out a blanket. I got to bathe in the sun and read my book Fifty Shades Freed (the third book of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy). It was so nice to be able to relax and spend some quality time with the hubby. We finished off the day eating at one of our favorite restaurant Indian Palace.
And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the perfect birthday to me!
Here are some pix of my birthday outfit. Simple, comfortable and chic.
