Pretty white dresses always make you feel like a princess. I’m absolutely in love with this dress from French Connection. The material is flowy and really smooth. The shoulder pads and long sleeves add a conservative feel, but it’s still a mini dress so it lets you get leggy.
I belted the dress because without a belt, it’s just a straight A-line dress. This can be both good and bad. Good because it covers; bad because it covers. When you’re having a fat day, you can unbelt and just let loose. You’ll still look amazing. When you’re not having a fat day, you may feel like it doesn’t accentuate your features. So belt and let the pretty A-line skirt move with the wind.
The belt I wore with this dress was thrifted for $2.50 – I lie to you not, it is an amazing find (pretty proud of my thrifty self) from a thrift store in Virginia Beach.
Ahh, and when I’m feeling especially girly/princessy/frosty/glittery/sparkly, I have to pull out the Miu Miu clogs because they’re gold-lined gorgeous. I thought it was a nice but subtle pop of print to spice up the look and save it from being too monochromatic.
