First off, let me say I love these pants. The material is soft and flows so lovely, and they really are so flattering. As far as a new piece for adding to the spring wardrobe, these are definitely it. But boy do I have a story to go along with these pants…
I was so excited when it finally stopped raining here. I wore these pants to work with a pair of pointy silver flats. I was walking to BART with my husband and he was telling me a story, blah blah blah. As I finish crossing the street to what is considered the filthiest block in my route, I stumble and trip. Not only do I trip, I stumble and stumble for like 10 steps until I finally lose balance and fall to the ground. I see one of my shoes 10 feet away, my other shoe in my husband’s hand. My hand is all scratched up and my knee too. I look at my pants though, and amazingly not a scratch. How can I get broken skinned knees but no tears on these pants?? Amazing.
It continues. I’m pissed off. Pissed at myself for the embarrassment, and pissed at my husband for not catching me. Hello? I was falling like 10 steps in slow motion – why didn’t you grab me buddy?? He says he thought I was joking around (it’s a complicated story about our relationship dynamic). Anyways, we have one more block to go. Half way down, again, I fall. Now I scratch up the other knee and other shoulder and other hand. Ughhh! My husband says “do you want to go back and change into some other pants?” I’m like “hell no! After all of this, I am GOING to wear these all day.”
So…here I am. After a day of pain, I’m able to smile, haha! And ladies, if you ever wear super wide leg pants, especially with pointy flats, lift up your pants when you walk!
