This past weekend the bf and I decided to get some dessert at a hotel nearby. The menu was mostly in French, so we went ahead and ordered the “ice cream tasting”. Of course, we wikipedia’d the name of one of the scoops of ice cream only to discover it was duck liver after we were halfway through. :| I’m still in disbelief. It was good.
Today I’m wearing full neon for the launch of Chictopia’s Spring Bloom Contest with Free People and Dylana Suarez of Color Me Nana. All you have to do is wear your favorite style of Spring 2012 and tell us about how it’s an essential for spring. The 1st place winner gets $500 to spend at Free People! Pretty nice right?
I don’t have a lot of “pretty pastels” or anything super frilly, so I decided to go all out neon as it is still a favorite trend for spring. Inspired by Nanette Lepore’s S12 collection (which I covered last September during fashion week), I’m wearing the feminine red orange “Neoclassic Tattoo” date night top that I got from Yoana Baraschi. The photo doesn’t do the Yoana top justice because there’s a cute low back and a deep V-neck in the front with “tattoo” lace detailing. It’s a very classic, powerfully bright top which paired with my neon yellow Asos lace skirt makes for a perfect, dressy spring 2012 outfit. If you don’t have any neon pieces, I’d recommend getting just a neon belt or a neon tank top to wear under your shirts to give your outfit that little kick.
