Back in the summer, I was roaming the streets in Paris when my roommate and I stumbled upon a cute little shop. We walked in, browsed at the items and saw the expensive prices. We about turned around and left before being distracted by the shoes.
Like everything else in the store, the shoes were “trop cher.” Then we noticed one shoe nestled between two shoes costing 200 euros. It was a cute ballet flat made of genuine Italian leather with small decorative details. My roommate picked it up. 200 euros was marked out; 100 euros was marked out. The final price, FIVE EUROS.
My roommate almost tried it on, but realized it was way too small. So she handed it to me to try. I sat down, took my own shoe off and slid on the flat. It was an immediate Cinderella moment (minus Prince Charming). Perfect fit.
I immediately purchased the pair and left the store in love. And today, we live Happily Ever After….
