Today I wanted to look like one of the 40’s girls you always see in photos from that period… you know, how there are all those sepia-toned photos of 40’s-era girls waiting from their boyfriends to come home from the war…and they’re almost always wearing polka dots. I wasn’t going to attempt any of the more complicated 40’s hairstyles, so I just wore my little clip and added my pearl necklace (which I really need to fix. Right now the two ends are just tied together.) I included a detail photo because in this case the little details make the outfit much more convincing. I’m also wearing lipstick, which is hard to see, but whenever I wear it I feel more old-fashioned.
(I just realized I’m not making a lot of sense today and my writing is probably really incoherent. I have an idea that I’m trying to say and it’s not coming out in the right way so…yeah.)
Another fashion-related tidbit: I had a dream in which a girl from my school was wearing a shredded lamé t-shirt. I have no idea if this is actually possible, and it’s exactly the sort of random, nonsensical thing my subconscious would come up with. WHAT DOES IT MEAN???
