The first day of March, and it was so very “springy”.
Here we go- you know, I really don’t like many of the categories under “Style”. The only one that I ever feel comfortable labeling my style as would be “eclectic”. But that’s simply because I don’t really stick to any strict style. To me, getting dressed is like a game of dress up. I typically grab something from my closet, and try and figure out a way to wear it that hasn’t been done before. I love playing with my clothes. When I was a little girl, dress up was always my favourite game. Several times I would try and play dress up before bed after my mom had gotten me into PJ’s. She got mad at me and said I couldn’t take my Pj’s off… so I layered several strands of (fake) pearls, a pink feather boa, a white faux fur shrug, and a purple headband that had a big pink fuzzy on the front of it all on top of my PJ’s.
And I really don’t think it matters what age or size you are, nor funds. I think if you walk to your closet/dresser with the idea that you’re going to play dress up, the possibilities of what you can create are endless. Fashion shouldn’t be about labels. It should be about having fun with what you wear.
Also- because I’m very much so inclined to say this, I would appreciate it very much so if you guys would go and take a listen to this song
Patrick Stump is someone who is very near and dear to my heart. He’s seriously not only insanely talented (wrote, sang, and played ALL the instruments for every song on his solo album Soul Punk), but he’s a really genuine and sweet person. I was lucky enough to meet him (finally) last year, and it just made me adore him that much more.
If you like what you hear, then keep an eye on my blog, AliceIHaveBeen.tumblr.com , because I’m going to be giving away three copies of the album Soul Punk along with any Patrick Stump T-shirt of the grand prize winners choosing. Also, if you’re already a Patrick Stump fan, go check out the blog I started in an effort to form a street team: PatrickStumpSupportTeam.tumblr.com
