So I work at a comic store part time, and the fantastic thing about that is that uniform wise, anything goes just so long as I try to do something comic related.
Now at first glance, this outfit might not seem Nerd worthy at all. The key is the shirt. The vocalist of My Chemical Romance is a comic fan and has even written his own, a best seller from Dark Horse titled Umbrella Academy. The artist of that series is Gabriel Ba, who along with his twin Fabio Moon, is an industry darling. They have a very similar style and while I have no proof, the art on this shirt is most likely by them or by someone who imitated their style.
In addition to that, MCR has been receiving a bit of a following among the comic nerds ever since featuring the eloquent and ingenious Grant Morrison, a very popular comic writer, in their “Sing” music video.
The real reason I put this outfit together though is that I got these darling tights and I’m very much a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl so I had to put together an outfit that could show them off and I’ve only got so many skirts that are of appropriate length for work.
