The Elephant Skirt

San Francisco is a confused teenager. Its been bright and sunny these past few weeks, and if you’ve been living in the city for a while, you would know that this weather never happens (this time around last year I was waking in rainboots and duffel coats, battling windy downpours, and begging mom to let me come home to the tropics).

Today I decided to wear this wrap skirt that I got from TellTaleHearts on Chictopia! I have a soft spot for A-line skirts because they perfectly conceal my ginormous hips —a trait I inherented from BOTH my parents and therefore am stuck with for the rest of my life. How pretty is this skirt? It really reminds me of the batik sarongs from back home because of the colors and the prints. There are little elephants lined across the bottom of the skirt which makes me think of the Beatles’ “I am the Walrus” song (I think I imagine the elephants marching to “goo goo g’joob goo goo g’joob”)
